new shoes as told by demi

i <3 my new shoes. they're from asos and they're super comfortable and easy to walk in. i wear heels or wedges pretty much everyday so it's important to wear shoes that aren't going to totally kill my feet.
i like the bottoms of them too because they're sort of rubber-like material which means they wont wear down as easy!
my pants are new too! floral and summery which is very unlike me but i like them. and they're comfortable as well. look at me.. putting comfort as a priority..

the quality of my webcam sucks. i need to find my digital camera and get film for my film camera/figure out how to work it

castles as told by demi

one of my favourite things in this world are castles
actually not many people know that i love castles. i guess it's because there aren't many around this side of the world. that's why i love europe, because there is so much history and beautiful architecture, and CASTLES.

i've never been inside one but they are so beautiful looking. i think my dream home when i'm older is a castle. i might feel a little selfish living by myself in a gigantic castle so i guess i could make it a place where travelers could come and stay if they ever come across my castle.. because my castle will be somewhere far far away from everyone. i'll hold haute couture fashion shows in it too. it will be splenderous. with a great staircase.
anyway here are some pictures of some of my favourite castles.

the château of chenonceau in france built in the 11th century

château de cheverny in france built between 1624 and 1630

schwerin castle in germany built in the 10th century. apparently a ghost roams the corrdiors in this castle which is kind of neat. what use is a castle without a ghost really

neuschwanstein castle in germany built in 1869. this castle is pretty famous because it's the inspiration behind disney's sleeping beauty castle

trakai castle in lithuania built in the 14th century

beautiful right?! i wonder why humans spend so much time building horrible things like weapons and motorways and apartment complexes and malls when they could build beautiful things like this, blows my mind. i mean really.

lots and lots of pixels

i just watched the social network & it was very interesting to me
not just the film and it's plot which is based on true stories by the way, but the place facebook and the internet in general plays in our generation's society

the film ended with the creator of facebook, mark zuckerberg sitting infront of his computer refreshing his browser to see if his ex-girlfriend has accepted his friend request yet. this was very telling of our generation because i know so many people who do that.

i had a friend who saw a guy who worked at a coffee shop and she would see him everyday and of course she thought he was hot so my other friend got his name and then my first friend stalked him on facebook and debated for days on whether to add him. in the end she added him on our other friends account but isnt that funny how much our internet affects us like that. that we spend our actual time on something that is just millions of pixels put together

our whole generation is made up of tiny pixels in essence. depressing, but true
i mean after i watched the social network i didn't talk about it to anyone i went on my facebook and considered updating my status but decided against it mostly because i knew i probably wouldnt get any 'likes' (more irony)
and then i went on livejournal and blogged about it (which is also ironic because that's the blogging platform mark zuckerberg used in the beginning of the film)
and NOW i am blogging about it here on blogspot
i feel like i need a stronger word for irony when talking about this

i always wonder what life will be like when my entire generation is 80 years old, will we still have facebook? will we be facebooking our classmates from our rest homes? will be 'tweeting' about our lives? will we tumblr pictures of cats?
seems very odd to think about. maybe all this technology will be dated in 60 years in the same way that vcr and analog clocks are "vintage" now..?

most beautiful models as told by demi

so i guess i should admit that i am a biiiiiiiit obsessed with models
i wish i could be as beautiful and as tall as them
i really think i'd be a good model if i was tall and had straight teeth and a bit thinner. i have a unique look i think and a pretty good runway walk. i practice walking all the time hahaha its quite pathetic
anyway i wanted to post my favourite models but i feel like i will be here for days so instead here are the models i think are most beautiful

1. magdalena frackowiak, 26, gdansk, poland
magdalena is not my favourite model but i think she has the greatest bone structure of any model there is. her jaw is perfect and she has the most beautiful brown eyes. i think if i could look like anyone else it would be her.

2. lindsey wixson, 16, kansas, us
i didn't like lindsey when she first started but now she has become one of my favourites because her look is so unique. i've never been a fan of the stereotypical model who is beautiful in the traditional sense which is why i adore her.

3. hanne gaby odiele, 22, kortrijk, belgium
i love hanne. she has such a strong unique look and her personality is awesome. she gives off a vibe that makes me want to be her best friend. there's no one else like her in the industry right now

4. tanya dziahileva, 19, minsk, belarus
ugh tanya is so beautiful it hurts. alien beautys are my favourite. i love the way that her cheekbones rise up near her eyes. she's also the model in my banner for this blog. i love how russian girls have such a distinct look that makes them look almost otherworldly (its a good thing i promise)

5. frida gustavsson, 17, stockholm, sweden
frida is very interesting to me, sometimes she can look very classically beautiful in a typical way that is almost boring to me but other times she can have such a unique beauty to her. i think the thing that i like most about frida is that even though she is soooo tall and can look years older she is still young and playful. i think she is very versatile.. and yes, very beautiful

6 + 7. vlada roslyakova, 23, omsk, russia
sasha pivovarova, 25, moscow, russia
i was going to post them separately but this picture is too cute to resist. vlada and sasha are both beautiful girls. vlada has the most gorgeous eyes, they make me green with envy. and if you know me then you'll know sasha is my most favourite model ever. she is beautiful and her smile is so heart-warming. plus she has the greatest personality, i'd love to hang out with her backstage at a show..

the thing about these models is that they are all beautiful on the outside but also on the inside. how unfair. you'd like to think that they're really bitches hahaha
